Release: Pegboard Nerds - Bassline Kickin

Pegboard Nerds have a way of continually expanding and evolving their sound, all the while keeping it recognizable.  Released today on Monstercat comes their newest single "Bassline Kickin" and the title doesn't lie.  We love to see artists blend genres and this one has elements of electro house, dubstep and trap, mixed together perfectly.  Showing once again they have no intentions of letting up anytime soon, this tune is definitely another keeper from the heavy hitting duo.

Release: Tut Tut Child - Impossible Things Before Breakfast EP

If there's one thing Tut Tut Child continues to prove, it's how innovative he can be.  Released today on Monstercat, his "Impossible Things Before Breakfast" EP spans across several genres and he masters each one.  Just a glance at the artwork was enough to get us pumped and the excitement didn't end there.  We were one step short of obsessing over "Hummingbird" when that dropped and will be spending plenty of time with this EP as well.

Rogue - Forever

You've probably noticed by this point that Monstercat is a force to be reckoned with.  Released on Monday, comes the newest track from Rogue and we just absolutely love it.  We may fall in love with new songs pretty often, but we've probably listened to this one about thirty times already.  Proving once again that he's fully capable of producing chill tracks just as well as his dubstep bangers, this song defines feel-good.  It's not every day that a song really resonates deep with you, but this is sure to be one of those tunes.

Project 46 - Continuum EP [Free Download]

Project 46 have been quickly establishing themselves as a household name in the world of house and their new EP is good proof why.  Finding themselves a place on the most recent DJ Mag Top 100, it's hard to believe these guys are just getting started.  Available as a free download from their Facebook page, they present this EP as a Monstercat free release.  Delivering more of their feel-good house sound, all three of these songs deserve to be on heavy rotation.  We can expect a lot more from the Canadian duo but for now go grab that EP!

Pegboard Nerds & Tristam - Razor Sharp

Releases from either of these artists is something we look forward to so you can imagine our excitement with this collaboration. Out yesterday, Monstercat's newest release comes in a chaotic blunder of glitchy goodness. Extremely melodic with the degree of hardness you can expect from these heavy hitters, this track is a keeper. Always pushing the limits while staying true to their sound, it's no wonder they keep delivering hits. Check it out!

Weekend Liftoff

We here at SYNTH want you to enjoy your weekend as much as possible, so every Friday, right here on our blog, we're gonna post FIVE songs that are absolutely 100% FREE to download. Some old, some new, some you've never heard, the one common trait is that they are absolute bangers. So let us help you make your weekend one filled with good music and good times.

Featuring:
EDITOR'S PICK: We already loved the original but I.Y.F.F.E. gives us a huge dubstep remix of Hummingbird by Tut Tut Child.
Vena Cava gives creates some extremely melodic dubstep with his newest tune "X."
DJ Snake puts a spin on "Move Your Feet" by Junior Senior and catches you off guard with his drops, in a good way.
This has been around for a bit but Mikkas' track "Moth" is perfectly described by the label he gives it: "ElectranceStep."
Our fifth dose of bass comes in the form of MAKJ's hard electro remix of Zipper by Sound of Stereo.

Mitchell Claxton - Fire Vortex

We love to see artists blend genres and push the envelope and this is nothing new for the skillful Mitchell Claxton. His latest track "Fire Vortex," released under the steadily growing Monstercat label, is a trance/dubstep hybrid that flawlessly fuses together those elements. No amateur by any regards, the Canadian native's prowess really shines through with his ability to create seamless transitions. Starting off with a heavy trance progression, he envelops you in the hypnotizing rhythm before unleashing an earthshaking drop. Given the wealth of trance the young DJ has already put out, we can clearly see there's a lot more to look forward to.

Dzeko & Torres vs Crossways - Togi

One of the tracks that made many Ultra sets all the more epic, Dzeko and Torres' "Togi" is a certified dance floor bomb. Sampling the legends of rock and roll (Led Zeppelin, "Immigrant Song") was a unique and interesting choice that paid off in dividends in the end for the young artists. The Monstercat label has recently become an absolute beat machine churning out new hit tracks almost every week. Their continued success is evident here with "Togi."

Tristam & Braken - Flight

Tristam & Braken team up and hit hard with their drumstep track "Flight," released under the Monstercat imprint.  A smooth melodic downbeat gives way to a surging drop full of wobbles and vocal chops that will please any dubstep fan. Both artists are relative newcomers, so expect much more to come from them as they perfect their sound.

Tristam's soundcloud has almost all of his tracks available as free downloads. Here is one of them:
