Moby: Potato Mix Series - Episode #1

Moby is a name one might not expect to see in the current stage of EDM, but he has most certainly become well acquainted with the current state of affairs and adopted a new sound all his own. In his first episode for the Potato Mix Series, he unleashes an onslaught of cutting edge electro, acid house, and dirty beat that proves to be absolutely irresistible. Currently on heavy rotation here at SYNTH, we highly recommend this astounding resurgence by Moby and suggest you do yourself a favor and listen.

Also, PotatoWillEatYou, is a YouTube music network run by A-trak, Diplo, and Skrillex. It will feature music videos, mix series, artist interviews, and much much more. Be on the lookout for this exciting new venture as well.

Mitchell Claxton - Fire Vortex

We love to see artists blend genres and push the envelope and this is nothing new for the skillful Mitchell Claxton. His latest track "Fire Vortex," released under the steadily growing Monstercat label, is a trance/dubstep hybrid that flawlessly fuses together those elements. No amateur by any regards, the Canadian native's prowess really shines through with his ability to create seamless transitions. Starting off with a heavy trance progression, he envelops you in the hypnotizing rhythm before unleashing an earthshaking drop. Given the wealth of trance the young DJ has already put out, we can clearly see there's a lot more to look forward to.
