Weekend Liftoff

We found some really awesome free downloads this week, mainly in the electro house arena.  Our pick of the week however comes in the form of a mid tempo beatdown of a track from Robs & Duke.    Hard hitting, flawless sampled, and energetic from start to finish, "Bushfire" is one hell of a tune.    The track is being given away courtesy of EDM.com, which you can download here, but show these guys some love and give them a like on Facebook!

Revolvr - Almost Home EP

The newest release from Ones To Watch Records comes from the talented Revolvr.  Both tracks are strong efforts in their respective genres, but we can't get enough of "Contact".  A powerhouse electro track with extremely catchy synth lines and handfuls of bass, it's exactly what we like to hear.  In "Almost Home", Sherry St. Germain gives a fantastic vocal performance, backed by solid melodies and rhythms, making for a great two track EP.

Release: Disprove & Protostar - Ratchet Tank

As we delve deeper into the new year, we're excited to see more and more sub-genres emerge.  Dropping today on DUSTLA, Disprove teams up with Protostar for a hard hitting glitch hop track entitled "Ratchet Tank".  Labeled by the artists as neurohop, it has a fresh mid-tempo sound that never lets up.  Definitely a tune that you can groove to, be sure to check this one out!

Weekend Liftoff

It's been a little while since we've posted about heRobust but he hasn't lost an ounce of his style.  Our free pick for this week is his newest track "Get Busted" and it hits that sweet spot between dubstep and trap.  Melodic highs weaved together with blistering drum rhythms and ground shattering amounts of bass, this one will be waking up the neighbors.  Be sure to check out his Soundcloud as well, because he has plenty of other big tunes to keep you occupied.

Ellie Goulding - Goodness Gracious (The Chainsmokers Remix)

With each remix these guys put out, it's getting harder and harder to deny their level of talent and creativity.  Ellie Goulding is one of our favorite artists and what happens when The Chainsmokers remix her newest single "Goodness Gracious"?  You guessed right, they create pure gold.  It's not going to be available for download until March, but something tells us they've got some good stuff waiting right around the corner.

Release: The M Machine - Superflat

The M Machine are one of those groups that has such a unique sound and consistently strong releases.  Their newest single drops today on OWSLA and is a perfect treat during this snowstorm.  A wonderful combination of electro and electronica elements complimented by hauntingly catchy vocals.  Never short of incredible, it's always exciting to see what these guys cook up next, and "Superflat" is definitely another great track for the collection.

Luke Bond feat. Roxanne Emery - On Fire

Luke Bond has already had some big releases on Garuda and this one might have to top that list.  Released on Monday, it marks the first release of the year for Gareth Emery's imprint and after last year, it's safe to say we have a lot to look forward to.  The vocal contribution for "On Fire" comes from the sister of the man behind Garuda, Roxanne Emery.  Complimenting the stunning chords and uplifting melodies, her voice makes this tune one you're going to want to get your hands on.

Release: Pegboard Nerds - Bassline Kickin

Pegboard Nerds have a way of continually expanding and evolving their sound, all the while keeping it recognizable.  Released today on Monstercat comes their newest single "Bassline Kickin" and the title doesn't lie.  We love to see artists blend genres and this one has elements of electro house, dubstep and trap, mixed together perfectly.  Showing once again they have no intentions of letting up anytime soon, this tune is definitely another keeper from the heavy hitting duo.

Driven Retro - Subconsciously (Feat. Miyoki)

We're really pumped we stumbled across this because it's just an all around great track.  Released last week on Maxxed Music, Driven Retro teams up with Miyoki for "Subconsciously".  Enough can't be said about her vocals as they carry the track right into the heavy hitting, glitchy drop.  Definitely worth checking out and good luck getting those vocals out of your head.  Enjoy!

Release: Betoko - Dance On My Feet EP

Betoko had quite a few releases leading into the new year and he starts 2014 off with a big two track EP.  Dropping today on Suara, the experienced producer gives us the perfect mix of deep and tech house.  "Dance On My Feet" is absolutely one of the strongest tracks we've heard in a while.  Melodic arpeggiated rhythms accompanied by an incredible bassline lead you right into the heart of the song.  Catchy vocal chops accent the track until the full vocals finally kick in for one masterpiece of a tune we'll be jamming to for quite some time.  The B-Side "U R My Sunshine" should not be overlooked either, spend some time with these two and you won't regret it.

Weekend Liftoff

Lots of great downloads this week, none of them lacking in the bass department either.  Our free pick for this week goes to the SoundSnobz track "Habibi."  It has a real smooth sound and the label "Arabic Trap" describes the track pretty well.  The synths coupled with the vocals make this a tune you can vibe to for days.  It's a free download and hits hard, what more can you ask for?

What better way to kick off the weekend than a free EP release from trap juggernaut Ookay.  The young producer has shown he can traverse different genres but still shines when it comes to trap.  Both tracks pack a punch hard enough to put bruises on the people in your back seat, so make sure you've got your subs for these tunes.  We're not going to pick favorites for this EP because you need to hear both tracks so click the link below to go grab it!

Kaosa - We Are Kaosa EP

Daniel Escobedo & Sean Davis make up the electronic duo Kaosa, a project with a hard hitting, energetic sound.  Released on Squirrel Records this Monday, the Las Vegas natives present a powerful mix of dubstep and electro.  Our favorite track on the EP is a toss up between "Show Me" and "Radio Friendly", depending on whether you prefer a dubstep or electro track respectively.  There is a perfect touch of vocals throughout that give them an added touch so definitely give it a listen!

Dirty Talk & Boy Kid Cloud - Unruly feat. Messinian (Notixx Remix)

When Dirty Talk and Boy Kid Cloud originally teamed up with Messinian to create "Unruly", it was one of our favorites tracks at the time.  Flash forward to now and the tune gets a variety of remixes and we're partial to Notixx's version.  Going the trap route, he uses the vocals to his advantage alongside huge bass driven synth work.  The track hits hard and it has plenty of replay value so be sure to go grab it.  Definitely check out the slew of other heavy remixes here as well.

Release: Merk & Kremont Vs Amersy - Charger

A little over a month ago Amersy released "Mastodon" and we were feelin it.  Staying in stride, he teams up with Merk & Kremont for Doorn Records' first release of 2014, and it's a big one.  Dropping today, these guys breathe some fresh air into the arena of electro house.  A fun and energetic track through and through, we're pumped to kick off the new year with a bang and look forward to seeing what these guys put out as the year progresses.
