Hirshee - Spark the Flare EP [Out 5/20]

Hirshee's new Spark the Flare EP doesn't officially drop for a few more weeks but Play Me Records has made it available for your listening pleasure on their Soundcloud. The young Canadian producer gives us more dubstep gold with both the title track and the appropriately named "Fire on Ice". He provides us with a fury of bass laden dubstep, and it would be unfair to call these anything but fire. As hard as it is melodic, this is an EP we will be anxiously awaiting to release. We advise you to favorite the EP to pass the time until it's available on Beatport, because we just can't get enough.

Monday Video Madness: Daft Punk Fever

The events of this past weekend have increased the already ludicrous hype surrounding the new Daft Punk album to an absolute fever pitch. Finally debuting a solid 1:00 of what we can safely assume is their first single off the 4th LP titled "Get Lucky" featuring vocals from uber talented Pharrell Williams and a funky guitar riff by the legendary Nile Rodgers.

Also, in the 4th episode of their Collaborators video series which highlights each of the artists who worked with them on the album, it is Pharrell's turn to discuss his experience with the enigmatic French duo. It's extremely obvious he was truly honored to be involved in any way with this album, citing he'd be satisfied with just playing tambourine.

Last but not least, we're gonna wrap things up this monday with the music video for the timeless Daft Punk classic, "Around The World." This video has garnered praise over the years for its incredible choreography and unique approach to representing a song visually.

And with that, we anxiously await May 21st when Random Access Memories is finally released and ushers in a new era of Daft Punk and dance music.

We're up all night to get lucky.

Maor Levi & Pierce Fulton - Wanna Be (Original & Club Mixes)

Pierce Fulton has been featured many times already here at SYNTH, and rightfully so. His dedication to a unique approach at production and DJ'ing serves him and his fans exceptionally well. He seems to find a new  distinct sound for every track he releases/remixes. This time Pierce teams up with Maor Levi to bring us his dynamic new track, "Wanna Be." The original mix is heavily rooted in the progressive realm, and has a soothing airy feel to it and a thrilling chorus to boot. The club mix is certainly a bit darker and more of a main room/peak time banger that has much more of a profound pulse. Whichever version you like more is up to you, but the bottom line is that Pierce has struck gold again with both versions of this superior track.

Well known for being a heavy hitter in the world of dubstep and trap, the LA producer keeps your subwoofers busy with three brand new tracks. Available as a free download from his Soundcloud (something not uncommon for him), there's no reason not to give it a listen. Both of the originals hit hard in BARE fashion and he remixes one of our favorite tracks "Reload" by Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash. All in a slightly different flavor of trap, there's plenty here to get your fix. Grab it below!
